Win free tickets to the 136th Sacramento Valley Scottish Highlands Games and Gathering

Have you ever dreamed of being serenaded by bagpipes? Are you attracted to men wearing plaid skirts?
Are you a man’s man who likes to watch guys throwing heavy objects around? Do you like the days of men wearing armor and carrying big swords and weapons?
Have you ever pictured yourself as William Wallace, aka Braveheart, and just screamed “FREEDOM!” at the top of your lungs? (I don’t want to know what you were wanting freedom from and of course, being a martyr isn’t the way many of us want to meet our end – but isn’t it fun?)
If all of this and some good food, dancing, and a little culture sound like fun, I have the place for you – the 136th Sacramento Valley Scottish Highlands Games and Gathering on April 28 and 29.
For those of you still not convinced you should go, check out my story from the 135th Sacramento Scottish Highlands Games and Festival. I tell you why I loved this event and share my photos from the Scottish festival.
I introduce you to the Scottish Highlands Games professional athletes, tell you what it takes to become a professional athlete, and give you a behind the scenes look at their personal lives.
Are you still not sure if you should attend?
OK, so here’s my final offer – free tickets to the 136th Sacramento Scottish Valley Highlands Games and Gathering!
Before I tell you how easy it is to win the tickets, here’s a look at some of the events that will be going on April 28 and 29 in Woodland.

I'm Jeremy Branham and I love to travel. Check out my travel stories, guides, sports travels, and adventures.

I want to go because I’m Scottish. I can’t attend the Bay Area Scottish Highland Games and Festival because it conflicts with the Reno Rib Cook Off every year. I have zero conflicts with the Sacramento festival. I’d love to score 4 tickets. This event is one of the few places to get Scottish food. Besides, I need to shop for some new clan gear.
I still remember the first Scottish Highland Games in Sacramento like it was yesterday. Hard to believe it was 135 years ago.

Time flies doesn’t it? I am going again this year but this time, I’m going to wear the kilt!
I’ve never been and it sounds fun! I’d like to win 4 tix.
Hey Jeremy, I.m not sure where to leave my comments, but I’ll start here. I have a friend flying out from SoCal to attend the games! Guiness, music & men in kilts…can’t go wrong!
Oh! I would need 2 tickets for us.
Thanks for entering Erica. Winners were chosen and announced. Sorry that you didn’t win but you are a first alternate in case the other winners don’t respond to me by tomorrow. Please check your email and thanks for entering. Hope to see you there!
I’ve never been to a Scottish Highland Games — they look like a lot of fun!
